Coaching can best be described as a partnership, where a coach and client work together. The aim of each coaching session is to help you unlock your thinking, declutter your thoughts and identify ways to move forward - whether it's to address a challenge, make a life or career decision and/or uncover your potential to live a happier and more productive life.
You set the agenda, which may be an individual issue/topic or an ongoing theme. Kate’s approach is one of authenticity, support and positivity. This means you are given the space to be yourself with no judgement attached. Kate's role is to listen, ask questions and notice things, in order to help you tap into your thinking. Kate checks in with you at the start of each session and tailors the session according to your needs.
Kate's role is not to provide you with specific solutions. At the end of the day, you already have a lot of the answers. Coaching provides the environment you need to tune into your own intuition and identify what works best for you.
Although the discussions may vary, Kate always keeps a focus on you leaving with something constructive you can apply in everyday life.
Whatever you share in coaching sessions remains fully confidential.
Coaching sessions take place virtually via an online platform. Regardless of where you are based in the world, Kate can work with you to find a coaching schedule that works. Kate is based in British Columbia, Canada, and does offer some in-person coaching, within the Vancouver/Lower Mainland area. Please reach out if you're interested in in-person sessions.
If you’re struggling with an ongoing challenge or issue, coaching can help you unlock your thinking and move forward. Maybe you want to be a better leader? Or you’re struggling with a workplace dynamic? Maybe you want to decide on a new career path, or have another major life decision?
Whether you’re a senior executive or someone just starting out, coaching gives you the space and tools to focus on what you want – with the intention of creating practical actions that you can adopt in your daily life.
Coaching is distinctly different to therapy, as it is more forward looking. Coaching sessions are aimed at identifying what matters to you, taking action and moving towards your desired outcome(s). Therapy tends to focus on past experiences, how they may have impacted an individual and how it makes them feel.
Coaching does not replace therapy.
If you have specific team members you think would benefit, please reach out for a chat. Coaching can be conducted one-to-one or sometimes in small groups, depending on what you want to achieve.
Coaching on Demand (COD) is a great way to stretch your budget and get maximum value from coaching. By purchasing a package of sessions in advance, you benefit from a discounted rate. Think of it as having Kate as your partner, available to act as a coach and sounding board. These sessions can be scheduled as you need them, within a specific time period. Managers with limited budgets can use COD to maximize professional development funds by sharing a package between team members. If you are a one-person team then COD is the ideal way to have Kate as a partner, on hand for when you need her expertise.
